Daintree Rainforest Walk

Leaving Port Douglas, we travel north into the lush Daintree Rainforest.

For the morning, we drive through sugarcane fields and gorgeous rolling green hills to a private rainforest reserve ~ our tour is the only way to visit this magnificent valley, deep in the ancient Gondwanan forest.

We then walk into the ancient rainforest, exploring lush forest glades and the creekside valley, and swim beneath a pristine, secluded waterfall, where no other tour groups go.

While at the waterfall, indulge in a refreshing swim in the safe natural rockpool, or relax with the sounds of the Daintree, observing butterflies, fish, turtles and coloured dragonflies surrounding the falls.

We then return to enjoy a superb gourmet lunch in the rainforest, in a secluded restaurant.

Lunch also includes a fascinating exotic tropical fruit tasting and educational presentation.

We offer morning pickup service between 10:00 - 10:45am from your accommodation if you are staying in Port Douglas or Mossman (eg. Silky Oaks), or guests staying north of the Daintree River can meet us by 11:00am at the Daintree River Ferry.

Guests staying in Cairns can meet us at the Port Douglas IGA Supermarket.

We return to your accommodation by approx 4:30pm.

This tour is recommended for 10-65 years of age.

The Waterfall Walk is approximately one hour each way and is seasonal & weather permitting.

The activities are all fairly easy, but do require reasonable fitness and good balance.

People with heart or respiratory conditions should not attempt this waterfall walk/swim.
