Daintree Experience FAQ
What types of tours are available?
Daintree Experience offers a range of guided rainforest walking tours, including a Half-day tour, a Full-day tour, and Private adventures.
All tours feature easy rainforest walks, swimming at a private waterfall, and a gourmet rainforest lunch. The Full-day tour includes a Daintree River crocodile cruise.
Where do tours depart from?
Most people meet us in Port Douglas.
Your guide will collect you from your accommodation in Port Douglas, or Mossman.
If you are staying in Cairns, the best option is usually to hire a car (approx $100 per day) and meet us at the IGA Supermarket car park in Port Douglas. We offer some other recommendations for travelling from Cairns below.
If you are travelling from the Cape Tribulation area, meet your guide at the Daintree River ferry crossing. Select “Solar Whisper” as your pickup location.
If you have any questions at all, please be in contact with Allister directly via email DaintreeExperience@gmail.com or telephone 0467 552 660.
Are the tours suitable for all fitness levels?
The rainforest walks are not steep or difficult but do require good fitness and balance. We recommend an age range of 10-65 years.
Can children join the tour?
Most tours are suitable for families with children aged 10 years and up because of the tour duration and terrain. If you have any questions, please enquire directly if booking with children under 10.
Insurance and Liability
You will be asked to sign a WAIVER of Liability.
We recommend you take out travel insurance.
